From A Passion
To Professional Distinction.

My love for gardening truly began 20 years ago while redesigning my own family garden. What began as a personal project quickly grew into a lifelong passion. A creative soul with a keen eye for aesthetics, I completed an HNC in Garden Design in 2004 - Initially to support my husband who
having just qualified himself in garden design & landscaping had set up his landscaping business.
However my career took me in a different direction.

2020 brought a moment of clarity. I decided to make lockdown count by returning to my first love: design. Following three years of intensive study, I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction from the British Academy of Garden Design.

And now I am able to give you the garden you just love to be in. A space that works so well you find yourself drawn outside to relax, to connect or to simply sit in the evening sunshine with a gin and tonic. Whether you dream of a productive kitchen garden, a social hub for family and friends or a quiet retreat that's entirely your own. I work with you to create something that feels more like a natural extension of your home and how you live.

I don't just see plants and patios - I see the potential of a site. Those awkward corners, uninspiring patches and tricky proportions are the challenges I relish most. With a strong understanding of space, scale, movement and proportion, I find solutions that are as practical as they are beautiful.

After more than 20 years supporting Andrew's landscaping work, I also know what's realistic to build, what impacts costs and how to marry the inspiring with the achievable. You won't find whimsical flourishes or flamboyant features here - just thoughtful, purposeful design that feels unmistakably you.

Together, Andrew and I can offer a complete service from design through to build, taking the stress out of managing contractors and giving you an end-to-end service you can trust.

At Cheshire Garden Design, my mission is simple: to make expert design accessible to everyone. Whether you have a small urban courtyard, a suburban plot or a country cottage garden, good design transforms how you live, turning your outdoor space into somewhere you genuinely love to be.

From Vision to Reality : My Work

Unlock the Full Potential of Your Outdoor Space

Every garden has more to offer than first meets the eye and a good garden designer will find it. Professional garden design takes a fresh look at your entire site, making better use of every square metre. Those awkward corners, empty patches and unloved or even ugly spots don't have to stay that way. With the right design approach, they become purposeful, considered spaces, somewhere special to sit, a productive growing area, a play space for children or a practical part of your home that actually works for your household.

See Your Future Garden Before a Single Spade Hits the Ground

One of the greatest benefits of working with a garden designer is being able to see exactly what your garden could become, before any work begins. A detailed, fully drawn garden design gives you a clear picture of your future outdoor space, showing how different it could look and feel from what you have today. It's inspiring, it helps you make confident decisions and it gives you something exciting to work towards.

Transform How You Live at Home

A well-designed garden doesn't just change how your garden looks, it changes how you live. Good garden design draws you outside, encouraging you to spend more time in the fresh air, relaxing with family, entertaining friends or simply unwinding in a space that finally feels like yours. When a garden works well, it becomes a genuine extension of your home and that shift in how you use your time and space is hard to put a price on.

Add Value to Your Property

Thoughtful landscaping and beautiful garden design are increasingly attractive to buyers. A well-designed, well-maintained garden enhances kerb appeal, adds to the overall impression of a property and can meaningfully increase its value. Whether you're planning to stay for years or thinking ahead to a future sale, investing in professional garden design makes good financial sense.
